Garden
A unique feature of Tigh na Boireach is our “Herb boat” where guests can pick fresh herbs from a large assortment of different plant varieties. We also have a landscaped rockery area with local Hebridean plants growing. Behind the herb boat is the rock garden with alpine plants and stone seat.
The restored croft ploughs lead into the field where during the summer months guests are able to dig their own potatoes from the raised beds.
The addition of solar panels in the adjacent field means that the cottage is almost self-sufficient in electricity for most of the summer season. The landscaped pond is visible from the drive and was built around a tractor tyre using local stones.
